In 2023, Derek played his dream role in his dream show—Don Lockwood in SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN—in New Orleans! He also performed in THE SOUND OF MUSIC (North Shore Music Theatre), JERSEY BOYS (The Little Theatre on the Square), and AN AMERICAN IN PARIS (The Phoenix Theatre Company).

In 2022, Derek performed in the pre-Broadway tryout of 42ND STREET at Goodspeed Musicals. He was the Male Swing and Dance Assistant to Director/Choreographer Randy Skinner!
